Huntard Update

Shh, don't tell anyone, but I've been playing a horde rogue for a li'l while now. (I think some of you may already have known this if you're following me on Twitter or paying attention to me that closely. O_O) But anyway, she used to recently be a troll too 'cuz I created her during the Love is in the Air event specifically for the Fistfull of Love meta achieve, but my honey paid for a race change so I could play a pretty blood elf. I would have rerolled, but she was already lvl 43, had all [Frostweave Bags], high lvl Mining/Engineering, and a few achievements under her belt, but that's beside the point. Anyway...

So, my hubster and I were questing in Un'Goro Crater last night, he on his mage, me on my rogue, and we ran into King Mosh. Mind you, I already had an Ironhide Devilsaur tamed for my hunter and that was even after abandoning the first plain ol' albino-looking Devilsaur I had. But since the red T-rex model is my favorite of the four currently available, I just had to tame King Mosh!

Side note: I know that I could have just searched Un'Goro for an un-rare elite Tyrant Devilsaur, but the fact that this was King Mosh made the tame that much more satisfying.

So, I logged out and hopped on my hunter, took the portal from the Violet Citadel to Tanaris, flew from Gadgetzan to Un'Goro, and ran to meet Nuku still on his mage. I placed a Freezing Trap and began taming... I was so excited that I never looked up any tips on taming him! So, ya... he feared me. And my hunter is only lvl 78 in blues and greens, so she was a li'l squshy. After the 3rd and 4th try, Nuku joined me on his druid.

New Plan: Nuku aggro Mosh, I start taming the second he gets feared.

TL;DR: After about 10 tries taming King Mosh, I have a new Devilsaur pet for my hunter. ^_^

So... what should I name him? Suggestions from myself and Nuku: Moshpit, Moshroom, Tony. I'm open to any and all. =D Thanks!

I did not delete my main. ^_^ I did, however, create and delete a lvl 1 toon on another server for the April Fool's video. I feel bad to have fooled some people. But I am proud of my video editing skills. XD I even moved my character list up a slot so it looks like Isolte wasn't in it anymore. XP Oh, and I only blurred out my alts because I do like to have some privacy. Hehe.

And thank you to those of you who knew that the video was a fake but you still played along. It was fun for a day. But to everyone who may be slightly offended that I played a joke on you, I am very sorry, I just couldn't resist. It's been years since my last April Fool's prank and I don't even remember it being successful in tricking anyone.. at all. Lol. Thanks for playing with me. ^_^ /hugs all around.

So, I've been a huge fan of SLASH/dance's Frame of Mind video for a very long time. I can honestly say that it is one of THE most inspiring WoW machinimas I've ever seen. If you haven't seen that one, it is a MUST SEE...

Big plans for this weekend! Nuku is going up to visit his cousin and will be coming home with a new PC. His cousin is a computer tech./consultant, and he offered to put together a decent computer for me. It's not going to be top of the line, but it will be WAY faster than 2.2GHz, possibly triple if not quad core, and it will meet the only requirement I have for this machine: to be able to run WoW at full settings. I don't really play any other game, and we can't be spending a whole lot of money, so we figured that was a reasonable desire for our budget. No Farcry2 rig here, buuut I ain't cryin. ^_^

EDIT 03/20/2010 12:26AM: My love corrected me in a comment. But it's worth adding to the original post. Apparently I WILL be able to play FarCry2 at max settings. LOL. I obviously dunno anything about this stuff... ^_^

Changed my "Band Name"

Hey ppl, if you've linked my Soundclick.com "artist" page anywhere, I changed my band name from "Ember Isolte" to "Girls Do Play WoW", so the url is no longer http://www.soundclick.com/emberisolte, it is now http://www.soundclick.com/GirlsDoPlayWoW. Sorry for the inconvenience, I just decided to rebrand myself early on and change the name to something more.. generic. =)

*Whispers* I really wanted to change the name to make it easier for me to come up with some kind of logo/memorable brand. You know, I was really inspired by PvPGurl, WoPairs, RavenSylphe, and all these other artists who have a certain look and feel, but for the life of me, I couldn't think of a good generic name... Even though it was staring me in the face on my blog!! So, I'm running with it. My lead singer is definitely always gonna be Isolte, but maybe with this new name I can work my other toons in as band members. ^_^

3. "Dub in Life" – I dunno what this song is actually about.. but it's a good song, so just pretend it applies.

5. "Move Your Body" – Female Draenei Dance. 'Nuff said.
6. "My Console" – I know it's about PLAYSTATION, but the track title makes me think of spaceship control center.

9. "The Edge" – Their plight on Draenor.
10. "Now Is Forever" – Draenei life on Azeroth.

Silly Photobucket.com. The buttons finally look the way I want them to, but I had to edit them after uploading, so I re-uploaded them after deleting...whew. So, they look a little screwy now but as soon as photobucket catches up with me, I think they'll be all better. ^_^

Also, I do all my designy work on my Mac, so my blog is best viewed *drun roll please* ...on a Mac! (Tested in Safari 4.0.4, Firefox 3.5.7, and Chrome 5.0.307.110). Also tested in the most recent versions of Firefox and Internet Explorer for WindowsXP and Vista... though I really do believe it just looks better on a Mac. Lol. Fonts just don't look the same on a PC as they do on a Mac =/. Oh well. I try my best to make it all pretty for you PC users since most of you are! XD

Lookie what I got in my [Bag of Fishing Treasures] today! ^_^ I really have no more use for the [Mastercraft Kalu'ak Fishing Pole] since the [Jeweled Fishing Pole] has the same +30 to Fishing, shammies have [Water Breathing], and the jeweled pole is just WAY prettier.

RL Friends + WoW = Fun

Last night I had so much fun doing lvl 80 randoms with my friends, Taursparkles, Mango, Darksparkles, and my hubbers, Nuku ^_^. Despite the fact that I bit Taur's head off at the beginning for 'poking fun' at our gear, we have the make-up of a really solid 5-man. (Two druids, a shaman, a rogue, and a mage ^_^.) I'm looking forward to joining up with <Legacy of Shadows> after I transfer <New Moon> to an alt. I really want to play with my friends again so the old guild has got to go to an alt.

EDIT: 2010-04-17 -- The Armory has been taken down ever since the introduction/merge of battle.net. So what USED to be here was the cool armory embed thingy. But it no longer exists! DX

YouTube Rant

I've come across a few YouTube users who have "re-uploaded" videos from my channel to their channel (Not favorited, flat out completely downloaded and re-uploaded). I understand that this is gonna happen with all the software that exists to download vids from YouTube, but my rant is: WHY DO PEOPLE DO THAT?!?!

If you like the video, FAVORITE IT! If the original poster deletes his/her video or account altogether, then that's how they want it. Respect that. You know what I'm sayin'? My problem with it is the fact that pirated uploads take away hits and possible channel subs from the original posters. We don't get paid for what we do, but what encourages most of us to keep posting is all the comments, subscribers, and video hits we get.

So please.. If you like a video on YouTube, please don't steal it and re-upload it. FAVORITE IT. That's why the feature exists...
