Shut Up and Blog!

Patch 3.3.2

Wow, Disani just posted the video for Shut Up and Grind last night and it's on WoW Insider's MovieWatch today. ^_^ I'm very pleased with the way the video turned out and I'm crazy excited that it's on WoW Movie Watch. I haven't even gotten around to uploading the video on my own YouTube Channel 'til now!

In other news. I'm finding out that my MobileMe isn't the greatest place to share my songs for download on since it says right in their ToS something like 'if you exceed the downloads per month bandwidth limit, we have the right to deactivate shared files, restrict access to your iDisk, and/or terminate your account."

So, if anyone has any recommendations for a reliable ftp or host for my mp3s for ppl to download for free, I'd really appreciate it. I'm looking for some place that's 1) Free. 2) Reliable. 4) Relevant. As in, a website with content mostly geared toward music. 3) Not someone's personal server/ftp. Thx. =)

Oh, and my video's done uploading...

Love Is In the Air!

Patch 3.3.2

*Sings* Love is in the air.... everywhere I look around! Love is in the air! Every sight and every sound.

Today Nuku and I finished up our achievements for 'the Love Fool' title. I'm not really caring about getting a permanent Mr. Peddlefoot, nor will I be heartbroken if I don't loot a [Lovely Black Dress] for the last two achievements in the Love Is In the Air world event. But there's still some time left for that if I happen to. All I'm happy about is that we've completed the meta-achievement, Fool For Love for What a Long, Strange Trip It's Been. XD

*Happy sigh*

Patch 3.3.0

Before I hit the sack, just wanted to shout out to Disani! Thanks for making a DK on my server and running around Hellfire with me and Nuku tonight. It was a nice 'welcome back to the game' for me, since I had been on a WoW-hiatus last month. Hehe.

Awe man!!! I didn't even screen cap anything for cheesy scrapbook memories!!!!111 XP And I still gotta make you a new background, don't think I forgot about it ^_^.

My guild is no more.

Patch 3.3.0

My guildies were harassed by other players about our guild name, New Moon, (thanks to the ever-so-infamous Twilight/New Moon series) so they decided to gquit and started up a new guild.

And, I guess there was a miscommunication, but I think they thought that Nuku and I were going to join them. =/

Cons:

1. Nuku and I paid for the guild website. $60/year. And we pay $4/month for the Vent. Out of the few months that our friends were in the guild, no one offered to contribute. And nobody really even used the site, so I can't blame anyone for that =(. And I know that $4/mo. is a very small price, but it adds up. =/
2. I created New Moon way before the vampire/werewolf saga even existed. It's unfortunate that other players harass other players in general, and I'm sad that our guild name became a topic of shit-talking to the point where my friends can't even bear the words above their toons' heads. =/
3. In all my time in New Moon, I can honestly say that only about 3000g total has ever been put into the gbank by all of our members combined. And that was after I bought all 9000g worth in tabs. =/

Pros:

1. I'll have the gbank to myself again for my and Nuku's alts. Yay 4 hoarding. ^_^
2. I won't feel like I wasted money on a site that no one uses anyway.
3. What's the point in being in a guild anymore when the PUG system exists?
4. I don't have to feel obligated as guild master to "run" the guild.

So, yeah. Whatever. When in-game things like this get on my nerves, it makes me not want to play WoW anymore. I have to admit that a part of it re-hashes my social anxiety and that's why it gets on my nerves so badly... 'Cuz it's a freakin game. It shouldn't upset people out of game.. at all. [PERIOD!]

A Quixotical Idea...

Patch 3.3.0

I have the lyrics all written out for a new parody song.. and I've had one Machinima Producer in mind for the video, Quix0tica. I even had her in mind while writing the lyrics since the song is completely "Attention Whore" based, and I'm guessing that she's a Lady Gaga fan. I'm thinking about sending her a message on YouTube tomorrow... Wish me luck.

Rage Block'd. Sry!

Patch 3.3.0

I built this mascot head BTW. ^^

So, if you're following me on Twitter and all of a sudden can't see my Tweets, it's because I had a crazy furry breakdown and blocked tons of people who follow me because of my connection to WoW. I had a mental breakdown Saturday night related to the furry fandom and thought it would be best to create a new Twitter account specifically for WoW stuff... So, I went ahead and "protected my tweets" and blocked people from what was to become my 'furry-only' twitter...

... Then I got over it. Lol. So, if you happen to be someone I blocked, please don't take it personally. Just re-follow me if you dare. ^_^ I'm not gonna make a separate account because posting to one is enough for me. If you have a problem with what I Tweet about, just un-follow me? Simple as that.

And on that note, since FurCon is over, I have WAY more time to focus on more WoW parodies and playing WoW in general, so I'm back!

The Awesomest Plug EvAr!

Summergale plugged me on her blog! I am absolutely floooored!!!1!11 XD Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!!

Featured on WoW Moviewatch... Again!

Patch 3.3.0a

Our Ninja Raiders video is just becoming more and more popular! We were featured on WoW Insider's Moviewatch again today! http://www.wow.com/2010/01/15/wow-moviewatch-ninja-raiders/. Michael Gray, the author of both this and the first article felt the need to mention "Ninja Raiders" again because of all of the email "tips" they keep receiving about our li'l video. ^_^ I am very happy to see so much appreciation.

But with the double post comes a bunch of people complaining about WoW.com's choice to post the video twice in less than a full month's time. Meh... It's just nice to know that some people who missed the first Moviewatch post are seeing it this time around. One person who noticed the post in particular (I must mention out of the sheer honor I feel from getting a message from her) is Summergale! She is the one female vocalist who does WoW parodies that really inspired me to pick up the hobby myself. And I just wanted to say thank you so incredibly much for the inspiration! She sent me a message on YouTube and I couldn't contain my excitement! I still need to message her back, I just want to get to it when I can focus on what I'll say with no distractions. ^_^

Anyway, I feel like I'm fan-girl babbling now... *is so giddy*

I have never felt more honored...

... This is just full of personal, heartfelt awesomeness.

Wowhead?

Patch 3.3.0

EDIT 6:51 PM - Wow, Wowhead's fast. I Tweeted at them and they replied less than a minute later. They fixed it!

I had to disable Wowhead's item-hover script in my blog because it was suddenly causing a strange error anytime someone visits or refreshes the page. I noticed right away that they changed the script code, so I thought that updating that would fix it.. but it didn't. The error is quite annoying: it prompts the browser to pop open a login message for "anadept.dev.wowhead.com"... I have no clue what that means, though I hope to find out soon. Although I haven't used Wowhead's item hover function in quite a few posts, I'd like to know that it still works when I do feel like linking an item =/...

Here's to figuring out what randomly went wrong..

Ninja Raiders on WoW Insider!!!!111

Holiday Break

Patch 3.3.0
The holidays are here, yet I haven't figured out how to juggle everything on the to-do list! I've got a song to record, a rather large personal project to complete by late January,  and having friends and family over pretty much every weekend 'til Christmas... Aaah! I still have this awful cough; the cold appears to be gone, and I don't feel shitty anymore, but the cough makes recording any vocals a huge pain! So, I don't expect to be starting my new song until the cough is manageable. Gah! I have lyrics all written out and begging to be recorded, but it will have to wait. I think the cold has made the decision for me that the new song will have to take less priority than the other personal stuff I need to get done. ^_^ Maybe that cold was a good thing.

The personal project (deadline coming way too fast) is my other favorite hobby than WoW, costume building. This is really what's been tearing me away from WoW and pretty much everything at the moment. I won't go into too much detail about it, but basically, I build animal mascot costumes, a.k.a. fursuits. I have a personal fictional character, or fursona ^_^, yes I'm a furry (hurr hurr.. moving right along...), and I'm building a costume based on her. (For more info about my costume hobby/business, please visit: http://www.blackbackstudio.com and/or follow @blackbackstudio on Twitter.) If you follow my personal Twitter @emberisolte, you might see some tweets about my "head" from time to time... I'm really talking about the costume head, F.Y.I. lol.

So,  I've got my hands full until February. With that said, I may be back to blog when I can steal the time, but 'til next time I'd like to wish you all the most Happy of Holidays. Cheers!

Patch Day

Patch 3.3.0

Today is "Server's Splode Day"! I tried to log in 3 times this past hour and as soon as I think my character selection screen is gonna load, I get the "Disconnected from server" message. =) A lot of people are excited (including me) about the free pet you get if you use a Blizzard Authenticator with your Battle.net account. I've been trying to just log in and get it, but.. yeah, it's patch day.

From Blizzard poster Nethaera

The Core Hound Pup is a gift for anyone using an authenticator (attached to an account) whether it's the physical authenticator or the mobile authenticator. Anyone who attaches an authenticator will also receive this lovable new pet. Think of it as your own personal guard dog.

There's some buzz about new tauren skins on WoW.com. But to give you the gist Handclaw of the Scrollsoflore.com forums posted images and rumors are being born. There's no official word on what the skins are for, so there's tons of speculation. I'm personally sticking with the "they're just new Grimtotem skins" theory since I don't think that Blizz would add those customizable skins to the 3.3 patch unless they had more custom skins for other races. But who knows? Plus, I heard that Blizzard is planning on doing a revamp of ALL character models, so I'd assume that the skins need to be reworked/remapped for those, and that will be released much closer to Cataclysm. The tauren skins do look pretty neat though ^_^.

It's cold.

Patch 3.2.2

I would be recording a new song right now if it weren't for this damned cold. A few days ago, it felt like this thing was gonna pass quickly. I got the aches, the sore throat, and right to the coughing in a day. And now I'm going on the third day of this coughing crap. I can barely speak without coughing up a lung. *sigh* Sucrets® to the rescue.. bleh, these things taste so sick but they work like a dream for hours for me.

Anyway, I just ask that you wish me well, and I'll keep drinking lots of fluids and resting so that I do kick this cold soon. Thanks for the support.

Ninja Raiders Video Premier!

Patch 3.2.2

Thanks to my now partner in YouTube crime, Disani, of Raven.Sylphe Productions, Ninja Raiders has a video!! I'm posting the video on from YouTube page, so go check her out! (I'll have it up on my channel as soon as I get my hands on a copy of the video.) Hope you enjoy it as much as Disani and I do!!
