Inspiration

Hi everyone! I'm back with another mail transmog, and although the shoulders appear to be shaman tier, they are based on the look-alike piece so that hunters may also enjoy this 'mog. Please note that the shoulders are the base of this set, so all other pieces were chosen to compliment the shoulders as much as possible. I very much enjoy putting together 'mogs that all relevant classes may wear, and that is another key inspiration to this set.

Why It Works

While [Gatekeeper's Embrace], the matching chest-piece, would have been the natural choice to go with the shoulders, the design of the neckline was too plain leaving the neck on most toons looking very bare, since it was designed to match the shaman tier headpiece which has a low collar that clips into the boring part of the chest and covers the neck. If there was a helm available to hunters that resembled the shaman tier head-piece, I would have featured the entire look-alike set, but since there is not I went with the [Crown of Flame].

The rest of the pieces come from the "Masterwork" mail set, also known as the "Ornate Mail (Recolor)", except for the belt which comes from the original Ornate Mail set. Looking closely at the colors of the [Craterflame Spaulders], you can see that they have many colors to match: the gold of the Firelands filagree; the orange, red, and yellow of the particle emitted flames; the brown of the wood-like base; and even the grey of the chains. The Masterwork set matches all of the warm colors of the shoulders, and the collar design on the neck part of the chest takes care of that bare-neck problem. While the [Masterwork Girdle] matches the set in design, the color of the [Ornate Girdle] matches the shoulders much more.

Exceptions

If you scrolled down to the pics already, you may have noticed the lack of males. I would definitely say that this 'mog looks better on the females because of the style of the chest piece, but it isn't a terrible 'mog for males as you can see on the male worgen below. Also, if I were a hunter, I'd go with the bow or crossbow instead of the gun. While the gun looks super baddass, the colors don't quite match as well as I wish. But I feel it's still a pretty good choice compared to the limited selection of guns for this 'mog!
