I Won a New Mount!

EDIT 09/06/2012: I've just learned that I won this mount during the week of Patch 5.0.4 when there was apparently a bugged drop rate of 100% on Normal mode FL! No one on my server knew about it and I only just found out because of posts I saw on Twitter!

I was afraid that I may lose the mount since it was nerdrage'd on by many other players as an "exploit", but looks like I get to keep my perdy fire birdy. Whew!

So, I won this last night: [Smoldering Egg of Millagazor]. *Feels lucky*



And man, I can't wait 'til I hit 87 in MoP and get [Ascendance]. As Enhancement (meleé DPS) I used to be prime competition for top DPS on the meters in my raid team, and after patch 5.0.4, I'm competing with our Arms Warrior for last place! XD I kinda feel like meleé got the short end of the stick with this patch, but supposedly we'll catch up with our lvl 87 abilities.. Here's hopin'! <3

Camaraderie is Recruiting!

The main raid team has broken off from my old guild and we've started a new one! As such, we are recruiting people to help us level the guild (I won't lie, we really need the help cuz we are only level 3 at the moment) and we are looking for a dedicated 10th member for our Raid team. We raid Tuesday through Thursday, 7:30pm-11pm Server Time (Pacific) and we are hoping to find a MAGE! Other classes are most definitely welcome as we plan to start an alt/2nd raid team for MoP so come check us out on Kil'jaeden (US-PvP)!

As you may know, it kinda sucks starting a new guild so close to an expansion release, but it was absolutely necessary, and we definitely left the drama behind! As it is, the 9 founders of Camaraderie get along exceptionally well and that's what spawned our guild name!

I am in the process of creating a guild website for recruitment and correspondence outside of the game and just to give you a better idea of who we are and who we are looking for, here's the description I've got so far! <3

Our guild consists of like-minded, "casual" players (raiders and PvPers) who very much dislike wasting time in-game since we do have lives outside of it. As a result of that desire to get things done, we are very knowledgeable players who not only play our classes well but also know and respect the fact that we rely on each other for progression and acheivements. We are all adults: working professionals, college students, singles, couples, marrieds-without-children (although we have nothing against players that DO have children!) We are proud to be decent players individually which makes us even more epic when we're together! :p

If you feel like you're a good fit, please come check us out and send us an in-game mail or whisper! ALSO: if you just want to level an alt in here for us ( I would love you forever btw), guild repairs are on us and you get 4 free [Netherweave Bag]s! Please Respect My Privacy

I posted the following to my Facebook, linked to it on my Twitter, and now I'm cross-posting here because I can't emphasize enough just how RUDE it is of some of YOU FANS to invade my privacy by trying to join my guild in an attempt to "play with me" simply because you want to play with an "eCelebrity". >=( (EDIT: That sounded really conceited of me. I don't think I am famous or anything, I just dislike it when people create a new toon on my server, tell me they're gonna level, and inevitably stop because they realize that I'm not going to level with them or play with them until max level content... If you SERIOUSLY want to play WoW with me, you'd better be willing to transfer your MAIN to my server and/or be looking for a new home for your main because I'm tired of kids just having toons on my server who friend my main because it just feels like y'all are CREEPY and simply KEEPING TABS on me. =/ Wouldn't you feel stalked if random-ass people whispered you or even followed you around Org or Stormwind while you AH or "run errands" in-game?)

I /gquit because an officer edited ALL my alts' Officer Notes to say they're my alts. While I have no problem w/ppl I KNOW in the guild knowing who I am, I DO have a problem w/ppl guild inviting random fans [especially ones who haven't told ME they're joining] because my alts are my "vacation toons" which is why I don't publicize their names. =/

And since I was demoted from officer myself after taking a break for a month in July, I couldn't change the officers notes myself, so I simply removed all of my alts from the guild.

!!!IMPORTANT!!!
I hate to sound like a douchebag, but my little corner in WoW is my little corner in WoW. If you just want to join my guild to play with me, I'm flattered, but chances are VERY HIGH that I won't be playing with you unless you're actually filling a regular spot in my raid or you're actually genuinely joining the guild because you are looking for a new permanent home for your main. PERIOD.

Small Update and For the Horde?

Isolte has been fairly busy getting to know her guild-mates this past month and for the first time in her little draenei life she finally defeated a boss while the end-game content was still current! Haha! Yes, I finally downed [Madness of Deathwing] and even more exciting: I won the super rare [Reins of the Blazing Drake]!!! Thursday, May 10 was an exciting day: I wrote, recorded and released a new parody, killed Deathwing, AND won the mount?! All in a day!? I'm obviously still in disbelief. And I truly believe I won the mount roll because of the fact that I released a new parody since I've been long overdue for one, and the WoW gods smiled down upon me that day! =3

And with the release of Diablo III this last Tuesday the 15th, a great many of my guildees have been absent from Azeroth! My server is far from deserted, but since everyone and their mothers are playing D3, I decided that it was a good time to level up my Horde shaman! She's only my second level 85 toon ever and she's geared for regular heroics at the moment. I hope to someday play with some horde friends now that I have a max level horde character. ^_^ I really couldn't bring myself to faction change my main, so this was the only alternative! XD

Some of you who have seen my past livestreams may have noticed that my hordie is an orc now! She used to be a troll for the "pretty" factor, but I never really felt like she suited me very well, so I race changed her and I've never felt more at home with being a horde. =3

Update: Server Transferred AGAIN?

It's kind of a funny thing when things are going well for me in-game because those times tend to be the times that you hear from me the least! Since my last update, I've started attending a local WoW Meetup IRL, I've transferred servers (yet again lol), joined a new guild, and have actually set foot in a [Dragon Soul] 10 Normal with people I'll be raiding with on a regular basis! And right now, I've finally stolen a moment before logging in and getting consumed by the game to fill you in on my latest WoW shenanigans!

Livestream Update: Green Screen'd

First of all, to those of you who have been anxiously awaiting my next live stream, I thank you for your patience. Many people have been asking me when my next stream is going to happen and I keep saying, "Soon™." Well, the answer is still "Soon™" but it is a much closer "Soon™" than the first one. XD Hehe. So, some of you may know that I'm not what most people would call a "professional gamer" and I don't intend to be one.. ever. But I do consider myself a part-time entertainer. I am still just an amateur however, and since gaming and streaming are just a hobby for me I don't yet have a set schedule for my live streams. I stream when I have the time and the drive, and to be completely honest with you I just haven't had the drive lately. BUT, I'm here to tell you that my motivation to stream again is coming back stronger than before and I've got to say that it's your persistence in asking me to stream again that is really, really helping! Seriously, you are the only reason I even want to stream. XD

With that said, I decided to "go pro" (or at least feel like one) *giggle* and green-screen it up just like the major streamers like Athene and Swifty. I've been meaning to do this ever since I started dabbling in streaming games so many months ago so that my viewers wouldn't have to look at my room-in-a-box in a corner of the screen and so that I could be a lazy bum and not have to tidy up my room for you viewers as well! Lol. So finally yesterday, everything came together! And the coolest part is: I built the stand for the green screen myself!!! Details and more pictures behind the cut... =]

Black March to Protest Internet Censorship!

If you're following me on any other social networks, I thank you for dealing with my major cross-posting but I really want to get the word out everywhere I can because I believe we can really do this. I'm uploading this image about the Media boycott the internet is calling "Black March" on every social network I personally use to encourage my social circles to further protest Stop Online Piracy Act, Protect IP Act, and Internet Censorship in general! We NEED a free and open internet!

SOPA & PIPA

If you don't know what SOPA is by now, here's a very informative post on SOPA (and PIPA) from the official reddit blog: http://blog.reddit.com/2012/01/technical-examination-of-sopa-and.html.

As of now there is little I can personally do other than to make more people aware of the SOPA situation. So, I'm joining the internet protest with a "STOP CENSORSHIP" banner over my blog's header image. Depending on how things pan out, I may leave it there longer than the 24 hour "internet protest". For now, SOPA has been "shelved", but it doesn't mean that legislation can't and won't slip parts of SOPA into new bills up for vote, and PIPA (Protect IP Act) is still to-be-voted-for on January 24th. So, please click the "STOP CENSORSHIP" banner to sign the e-petition, send a letter to Congress, and if you're not in America you can even petition the state department in your country via the banner link (http://americancensorship.org/).

Without going into crazy detail, my personal stance on SOPA is this:

1. It won't stop movie and music piracy at all. [period] I honestly don't believe it will even slow it down in the slightest.
2. It's bad for business. Start-ups and e-businesses will have a dramatically more difficult time setting up any kind of website because of the need to prepare for potential offending links on forums for example, and they'll need to be careful on which sites they themselves advertise on.
3. The vague language in the actual bill is obviously vulnerable to be abused.

Let's hope that this internet protest will open more eyes to the SOPA situation and get our congressmen to KILL SOPA all together.
